About Aconta GmbH

Aconta was established in 2015 and works from the Zug area for clients in Zurich, Zug and the rest of German-speaking Switzerland. Its main audience is English-speaking expatriates who need help with the Swiss tax system after relocating, alongside small and medium-sized businesses that outsource bookkeeping. The founder lived abroad for years, which shapes the firm's approach to newcomers. Individual services cover ordinary and supplementary Swiss tax returns, reassessment of tax withheld at source, and US tax returns for Americans living in Switzerland. On the business side it provides accounting, payroll administration, VAT handling and year-end financial statements, using clients' existing software or its own cloud tools. Staff work in English, German and Swiss German. The managing director holds a federal fiduciary diploma and previously worked in finance for non-profit organisations in California and Zurich.
