About Millennium Park Taxes

American citizens living in Germany and elsewhere abroad are the sole clientele of this Berlin practice, run by its founder, a US-qualified certified public accountant who is herself a US citizen resident abroad and a native speaker of both German and English. After more than fifteen years of experience, including time at a large international accounting firm in the United States, she set up the practice to help expatriates meet their US filing obligations through one-to-one advice. Clients range from first-time filers who have only just learned about their obligations to people who already file every year and want a professional preparer. The firm works only on US taxes and does not prepare German returns, but it coordinates with German tax advisers so that treaty relief and double-taxation rules are applied consistently on both sides. German payroll and tax documents can be read without translation. No company formation is offered.

Services

Services cover preparation of US federal income tax returns for expatriates with employment, self-employment and investment income, FBAR reports on non-US bank accounts, and catch-up filings under the Streamlined Foreign Offshore Procedures and the Delinquent FBAR Submission Procedures. The founder also advises on filing thresholds, extensions, reporting of US investment income and application of US-German income and estate tax treaties, with a free 15-minute initial call.
