Founded in 1967 by Dr. Diether Dienst, the DDP group has grown to more than 300 staff across nine German locations, with its Frankfurt office combining audit, tax, legal and IT advice under managing partners who hold the specialist title for international tax law. Its Italian Desk serves Italian companies, investors, start-ups and private individuals active in Germany, as well as German businesses dealing with Italy, with advice given in Italian, German or English. Through this desk the firm accompanies Italian clients through each stage of setting up a German company, from the choice of legal form through tax registration to drafting the contracts and dealing with the authorities. Ongoing work then covers bookkeeping, payroll, monthly and annual accounts under German and Italian standards, group reporting, all types of tax returns and cross-border VAT and transfer pricing. The group belongs to the HLB international network of independent audit and tax firms.
