Founded in 1962 as an audit and tax advisory practice and part of the BDO network since 1994, the Austrian member firm is headquartered in Vienna and works from fourteen locations spread across all Austrian regions, from Burgenland to Vorarlberg. Its work covers audit, tax, accounting, payroll and advisory for companies of different sizes. For foreign clients the firm runs two market desks. The Italian Desk serves Italian businesses and private individuals with activities in Austria, in their own language, helping them open a sales point or set up a company or permanent establishment, choose a suitable legal form and then handle bookkeeping, financial statements, tax filings, payroll and representation before the tax office. It also advises on construction and assembly sites, rental and sale of real estate and the double tax treaty between Italy and Austria. A China Desk supports Chinese companies with their market entry into Austria, alongside Austrian companies active in China. International tax law and VAT teams complete the offer.
