Collenette Jones is a general-practice firm of chartered and chartered certified accountants in St Peter Port, started as a partnership in July 1978 and still run by a small group of owner-directors. Roughly two dozen people work there, including eight qualified accountants and a four-person trust team. Revenue is split between accountancy and tax, trust administration, audit and occasional advisory assignments. Its clients are mainly Guernsey residents and businesses, from sole traders to companies turning over tens of millions of pounds, plus private wealth individuals who may be introduced through their financial advisers. Company formation is available to existing and prospective clients resident in the Bailiwick through a regulated trust company subsidiary, which also acts as corporate service provider and pension trustee. The firm does not present a dedicated service for non-resident or foreign clients.

Services

Services include bookkeeping, year-end and management accounts, Guernsey and UK personal and company tax returns, non-resident landlord and distribution reporter returns, and statutory audit. Payroll is also offered. Through its regulated subsidiary the firm forms Guernsey companies, maintains statutory registers, provides company secretarial support, registered office addresses and nominee shareholders, and files annual validations. It administers retirement annuity trust schemes and local trusts, and gives business advisory help such as valuations, liquidations of solvent companies and process reviews.
