Established in Cascais in 1989 by a British-trained chartered accountant who moved to Portugal in 1986 after working in the Lisbon office of a large international firm, this boutique practice describes itself as a niche tax and accounting house for English-speaking expatriates. A second chartered accountant, originally from South Africa, joined as a partner in 2019 and became permanent in 2020, so the two principals work fluently in English and Portuguese. Demand grew with the arrival of the non-habitual residence regime and the Golden Visa programme, and the website carries extensive guides for US citizens, freelancers, pensioners and other foreign nationals about residence, returns and filing sequences between countries.
