About ILLAY Legal

Founded in 2020 by two Barcelona lawyers, this immigration and business law practice has grown into a team of more than twenty professionals from fifteen nationalities, working from offices in the Barcelona area and Madrid. Its stated mission is to serve foreigners who live, invest or want to settle in Spain, and its work combines residence and citizenship procedures with company incorporation and tax matters in a single place. Clients include individual newcomers, digital nomads, entrepreneurs and foreign businesses opening a Spanish presence, including branches and representative offices. A partnership signed in 2024 with a labour-law firm extended the offer towards multinationals and international tax questions. Staff and interpreters cover over ten languages, among them English, Russian, Chinese, Turkish, Arabic and Italian. Consultations are sold at fixed published fees, and company set-up can be completed remotely through a power of attorney.

Services

Company incorporation covers obtaining the foreign founders' tax identification numbers, name certificate, bylaws, notarial deed, commercial registry filing, tax registration and Spanish bank account opening, all manageable by power of attorney. Tax services include personal income tax returns, Beckham regime applications, wealth tax, tax simulations, inspections and corporate tax and VAT compliance. Immigration work spans work permits, entrepreneur and highly skilled visas, digital nomad and non-lucrative residence, students, family reunification and nationality. Legal due diligence, advice for startups and employee relocation complete the offer.
