About COGEP AVOCATS

Part of the French COGEP accounting and advisory group, whose history goes back to 1971, COGEP AVOCATS is a business law firm with more than 100 lawyers working from a network of offices across France, including Lyon. The firm forms commercial, civil and professional-practice companies itself: when the necessary information is supplied, its lawyers draft the articles, complete the formalities and obtain the Kbis extract, typically within a week. It also advises on branches and start-up structures and keeps the corporate records of client companies from incorporation to dissolution. Its tax department prepares income tax, IFI and inheritance returns, assists during tax audits and disputes, structures groups and holdings and advises on VAT recovery and cross-border trade.
