Admitted to the Nice bar in 2012, Renaud Martin practised independently in tax law before founding the Cabinet RM law partnership in 2020, through which he continues to work alone with local and international clients. Family ties with England led him to give particular weight to foreign clients who want to invest or settle in France, and the site, available in French and English, has a dedicated section for clients abroad. For them the firm assists with investing in France, the tax and legal treatment of short-term rentals, international successions involving French property, social-levy disputes for non-residents, tax-residence disputes and ongoing follow-up of declarations and payments with the tax administration. Individuals receive help with income tax, real-estate wealth tax, non-resident taxation, gifts, successions and personal tax audits. For businesses the practice handles the creation or installation of a structure in France, including choice of legal form and tax regime and the formalities, then advises during the life of the company, in tax audits and litigation, and on sale or transfer.
