ARGUS International, founded in 2009 near Frankfurt in Dreieich, has concentrated since 2013 on international tax advice, and most of its work involves cross-border situations. Its clients include employees seconded abroad, returnees after long assignments, taxpayers with homes in Germany and another country, and foreign professionals working in Germany for a foreign employer or group entity, whom the firm calls inpats. It also advises foreign taxpayers with German-source income and has built a niche in the taxation of staff of development organisations and international public bodies. Work is handled digitally, from onboarding and power of attorney to filing and correspondence with the tax office, and the team advises in German and English.
