View profile of Alliant Co. (شركة أليانت)Dammam’s 13 firms on Accountanty are mostly accounting practices: eight accounting firms and five corporate service providers. That reverses the national picture, where corporate service providers lead with 54 of the 103 firms in Saudi Arabia. Twelve of the Dammam firms are small and one is medium-sized; none belongs to a large network. A founder here deals with owner-run practices, so ask who will handle your file from week to week and who covers when that person is away.

View profile of Meridian Solutions KSAManufacturing, industrial work and start-ups are named by two Dammam firms each. Construction, contracting, trading, logistics, technology, healthcare, tourism, food and beverage, professional services and creative agencies are named by one each. The industrial thread matters if you run a plant or a contracting business, so ask how the firm handles inventory, fixed assets and project accounting before you compare fees.
Start-ups are the client group named most in Dammam, by five firms, and foreign investors by three. Seven of the 13 say they focus on foreign clients. Individual profiles name foreign parent companies, Gulf-based companies entering Saudi Arabia, mixed and foreign companies and Saudi SMEs. Four firms handle LLCs, three handle branches and three regional headquarters, and two each handle joint stock companies and branches of foreign companies. Single Dammam firms mention a special economic zone company, an entrepreneur licence company and a technical or scientific office.
All 13 offer company formation. Twelve handle accounting, tax compliance and VAT. Eight run payroll, seven offer audit, seven help with residence and visas and five assist with bank accounts. One offers a virtual office and none in Dammam offers corporate secretarial work, so a group that needs board resolutions drafted and company records kept should ask whether the firm can arrange that through a partner.
English is offered by 12 firms, Arabic by 11 and Malayalam by one. Five firms state a founding year, the oldest 1987 and the median 2016. Three publish prices.
The licences declared in Dammam lean towards audit and accounting: a SOCPA-registered audit firm, a SOCPA-licensed auditor and an accounting and auditing practice licence all appear, as do a bankruptcy trustee licence and a certificate for supervising off-plan sales accounts. If you need an audited set of accounts, ask for the licence number of the person who will sign it and check it with the issuing body.
Because 12 of the 13 are small, ask how many people will work on your file, how quickly the firm answers a query from the authorities and in which language it sends you the working papers. Ask too which zakat, income tax and VAT returns it prepares itself and which it passes to someone else. The Saudi Arabia guide explains the legal steps, and the page on company formation in Saudi Arabia covers choosing a provider.
Neighbouring Al Khobar has eight firms, almost all corporate service providers, so the two lists complement each other: accounting depth in Dammam, set-up and licensing work next door. Riyadh and Jeddah have their own pages. One request through Accountanty can reach firms in Dammam and nearby.
Eight of the 13 are accounting firms and five are corporate service providers. Twelve are small and one is medium-sized. Seven say they focus on foreign clients.
Seven of the 13 list audit. The licences they declare include SOCPA registration for audit and an accounting and auditing practice licence. Ask for the signing accountant's licence number before you engage a firm.
None of the 13 lists corporate secretarial work. If you need board resolutions and company records kept, ask your accountant whether it works with a law firm or a corporate service provider that does.
English is offered by 12 firms, Arabic by 11 and Malayalam by one. Ask in which language the firm will send you monthly reports and the annual statements.
Al Khobar has eight firms, seven of them corporate service providers, while Dammam leans towards accounting practices. A company in the area may use one for set-up work and the other for its books.
