Part of the Contus accounting group, which also runs companies in Lithuania and Norway, Contus Ekonomi AB has provided accounting services in Sweden for more than thirteen years from its office in Vällingby, Stockholm. The group employs 26 professionals across five offices in Stockholm, Vilnius, Kaunas, Oslo and Jelgava. Much of its Swedish work is aimed at entrepreneurs from abroad: the website runs in English, Swedish and Lithuanian, and it explains how foreign companies can register a branch or an existing business in Sweden. The firm prepares incorporation documents for Swedish limited companies and sole proprietorships and files them with Bolagsverket and Skatteverket at published fixed fees. Once a business is running, clients receive a personal accountant who handles bookkeeping, salary calculations, tax declarations and financial statements, mostly as a remote service.
