View profile of A Plus Consulting FZ-LLCRas Al Khaimah is the northernmost emirate: the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone, known as RAKEZ, opens its own introduction by noting that the emirate lies at the northernmost part of the UAE, and presents itself as a business and industrial hub. For a foreign founder that matters mainly because the emirate runs its own zone and its own registry, so the firms here are used to a licensing environment that is separate from Dubai’s.
Twenty-nine firms are based in the emirate. Unlike the bigger cities, corporate service providers outnumber accounting practices by a clear margin, 17 against 10, and two law firms complete the picture. Twenty-five are small and four are medium, with no large international networks at all. In practice that means the person you speak to at the first call is often the person who files your documents.

View profile of North Star GlobalE-commerce is the sector named most often, by eight firms. Retail, real estate and construction follow with six each, and consulting, technology, manufacturing, logistics and start-ups four each. Two firms name family offices, a group that does not appear on the Sharjah or Ajman pages. The mix points to small trading and online businesses more than to the heavy industry or hospital operators that dominate the larger emirates.
Entity types show where the emirate differs. Twenty-three firms handle free zone companies and 18 handle mainland ones, but two also handle companies registered with RAK ICC, a structure that is usually used for holding assets or for activity outside the UAE. Three firms handle holding companies and two handle foundations. If this is the structure you are considering, ask the registered agent in writing what the company may and may not do inside the UAE before you pay anything, because the answer depends on the registry’s current rules.
The clients firms name are mostly founders: start-ups and entrepreneurs are each named by nine firms and SMEs by seven. Three name international investors and two name non-resident founders. Ten of the 29 say they focus on foreign clients, and several describe working with Balkan or European entrepreneurs who set up in the UAE from abroad.
All 29 firms offer company formation. Twenty-six do accounting, 27 handle tax compliance and 24 handle VAT. Twenty-three help with bank accounts and 21 with residence visas, while only 13 offer audit and 11 payroll. If you need an audit, ask the firm who signs it.
English is offered by 19 firms, Arabic by five and Russian by four. German and French are offered by two firms each, and a handful of other languages by one firm each, from Serbian to Mandarin. For tax work, the Federal Tax Authority keeps a search of registered tax agents.
The legal steps are in the UAE guide. The larger markets are Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with Sharjah and Ajman in between. Providers that set up the company for you are described under company formation in the UAE, or send one request through Accountanty.
Seventeen of the 29 firms are corporate service providers, ten are accounting firms and two are law firms. Twenty-five are small practices, so ask who will handle your file day to day.
Two of the 29 name companies registered with RAK ICC. These are generally used for holding assets or for activity outside the UAE, but the registered agent should confirm in writing what the company may do inside the UAE.
Twenty-three firms help with bank accounts and 21 with residence visas. The bank and the immigration authority decide, so ask what happens if an application is declined.
English is offered by 19 firms, Arabic by five and Russian by four. German and French are offered by two each, and some firms add Serbian, Croatian, Ukrainian, Hindi, Urdu or Mandarin.
Thirteen firms offer audit and 11 offer payroll, fewer than in Dubai. If you need either, say so in the quote request so that firms without the service can decline.
