View profile of Egyptian Certified Public Accountants (ECPA)Abu Dhabi is the federal capital’s emirate and the second-largest accounting market in the UAE we cover, with 57 firms. It differs from Dubai in the clients it draws: where Dubai’s firms talk most about trading and online retail, those in Abu Dhabi talk about property, healthcare and heavy industry, and a visible share of their clients are established companies and family businesses rather than one-person start-ups.
The business district that gets the most attention from international founders is Abu Dhabi Global Market. It describes itself as an international financial centre that operates across Al Maryah Island and Al Reem Island and offers an English common law legal framework. A company that wants to be regulated there, or to hold assets under that framework, works differently from a mainland or ordinary free zone company, so ask any firm whether it has registered companies in ADGM.

View profile of Sovereign PPG (Pro Partner Group)Real estate is named by 24 firms and healthcare by 20, well ahead of manufacturing (11), e-commerce (10), construction (10) and retail (10). Education and hospitality are named by nine firms each, oil and gas by eight and technology by eight. The oil and gas mention is the clearest local signature; no other emirate page shows it among its first fifteen sectors.
On the client side, 15 firms name SMEs and 14 name start-ups, but the list also includes foreign investors (11), multinational companies (five) and family businesses (four). Four firms handle foundations, and two handle public joint stock companies. That is a thin spread for such structures, so a founder who needs one should ask for examples.
Free zone companies are named by 45 firms and mainland companies by 30. Fourteen handle LLCs and ten handle branches. The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development publishes a stepped guide to mainland licensing, from the business activity and legal form to the trade name, initial approval and business location. A good firm walks you through that sequence and tells you which approvals depend on your activity.
There are 29 corporate service providers and 28 accounting firms. Thirty-four are small, 14 are medium and nine belong to large networks, which is the highest share of large networks of any emirate page here. Fifty-four firms offer company formation. Fifty-one do accounting and VAT, 54 handle tax compliance, 33 offer audit and 36 help with residence visas. Only 27 run payroll and 13 offer corporate secretarial work.
English is offered by 39 firms and Arabic by nine. French is offered by two. Seventeen firms say they focus on foreign clients, a smaller group than in Dubai, so if you want onboarding in plain terms say so in the request. Several firms mention approvals from the federal Ministry of Economy or the tax authority; for tax work, check the registered tax agents on the Federal Tax Authority site.
The legal steps for a UAE company are in the UAE guide. Dubai has a much larger market and its own page at Dubai, and there are pages for Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah. A single request through Accountanty goes to suitable firms.
Some do. ADGM operates across Al Maryah Island and Al Reem Island and works under an English common law framework. Ask each firm how many companies it has registered there, as this differs from a mainland licence.
Real estate is named by 24 of the 57 firms and healthcare by 20. Manufacturing, e-commerce, construction and retail follow, and eight firms name oil and gas. Ask for examples from your own sector.
English is offered by 39 firms and Arabic by nine. French is offered by two. Russian, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Chinese are each offered by one, so send your language need with the request.
Yes. Thirty-three firms offer audit and 54 handle tax compliance. Ask whether the person who will sign your VAT or corporate tax filings is a registered tax agent, and confirm it with the Federal Tax Authority.
You can, but Abu Dhabi firms know the emirate's economic department and ADGM better. Dubai has 239 firms, so the choice is wider there. Both pages are linked above.
