Founded in 2004 in Sofia, CIG Bulgaria began with accounting, financial and IT consulting, and since 2008 has concentrated on outsourced accounting, tax advice, payroll, staff leasing and recruitment. It describes its customers as mainly international and multinational companies operating in Bulgaria, and it acts as their outsourced accounting and HR department. A permanent core of four or five employees is supplemented by external legal, IT and specialist partners for larger projects. A dedicated service handles registration of Bulgarian companies owned by foreign citizens, with incorporation documents drafted in Bulgarian and English and a Sofia Bar corporate lawyer involved. Payroll work includes experience with foreign and non-EU employees and annual tax returns for foreigners resident in Bulgaria. The site is published in Bulgarian and English, and the managing partner has a background in multinational corporate finance.
