Bank account assistance in Hungary

Opening a business bank account is often the slowest part of starting a company from abroad. A firm cannot guarantee that a bank accepts you, but it can prepare the documents, introduce you to the right branch and attend with you. The account also matters later: in Hungary, beneficial owner data is uploaded through the payment service provider that holds the company’s account, so the bank relationship is part of your compliance, not only your cash management.

Ask a firm which banks it works with, what it needs from you (identity documents, proof of address, a description of the business, details of owners), whether you must visit in person, and whether it charges for the introduction or only for time spent. Be wary of any promise about timing or approval.

Frequently asked questions

Can I open a Hungarian business account without visiting?

It depends on the bank and on your situation. Some banks accept remote onboarding, others ask for a visit by at least one director. Ask the firm what each bank requires from a non-resident.

Does the firm guarantee that the account is opened?

No reputable firm should. The bank decides. A firm can prepare the application and reduce errors. Treat any guarantee as a warning sign.

What documents do banks usually ask for?

Typically the company's registration documents, identification and proof of address for the directors and owners, and a description of the business and expected transactions. The bank sets the exact list.
