Accountants for foreign clients in Hungary

A Hungarian company owned from abroad has the same obligations as any other, but the owner is usually not in the country, the documents are in Hungarian and the parent company has its own reporting needs. The right accountant is one who has already done this for people in your position.

On a profile, look for the languages, the entity types handled (Kft., branch, subsidiary, representative office), the client groups named and the services offered next to accounting. Ask about reporting to a parent company, how the firm communicates with an owner abroad and how it deals with documents that need your signature. The Hungarian courts state that legal representation is mandatory in company proceedings, so ask who acts as your representative.
