Karma Consulting is a Budapest practice run by Italian chartered accountants, set up to support Italian entrepreneurs who start and manage business activity in Hungary. It has operated locally for more than twenty years and acts as the Hungarian arm of a Treviso accounting firm, linking the two tax systems. About nineteen people work from the Budapest office near the city centre. The site is available in Italian and Hungarian. The team advises on Italian-Hungarian issues such as foreign-based residency of companies, transfer pricing, controlled foreign company rules and permanent establishments, and can deal directly with the Italian revenue agency. It works closely with a Budapest law office for legal matters and also helps clients with property investments, translation and interpreting alongside its core accounting, tax and audit activity.
