View profile of Fideso Tax & LawMarbella is the Spanish city on this site where firms speak English most often relative to their number, and where the typical client is a foreign owner rather than a local business. Forty-seven firms are covered here: 30 accounting firms and 17 law firms.
That proportion of lawyers is the first thing a newcomer should notice, because it changes who prepares what.

View profile of FA AbogadosSeventeen of the 47 firms are law firms, a higher proportion than anywhere else among the larger Spanish cities on this site. In Marbella the same practice often handles the purchase of a villa, the wills of its owner and the company that holds it. A founder who wants to run a business, rather than own property, should ask how much of the firm’s work is company accounting and who in the practice does it.
Small practices make up 41 firms; 6 are medium-sized. Entity types named include the S.L. (8 firms), the limited company (7), branches (4) and civil partnerships (3), with a few mentioning trusts and foundations. Three firms work with the self-employed route directly.
Thirty-eight of the 47 firms put foreign clients in their focus, which is about four in five. The client groups they name are non-residents (13 firms), foreign investors (11), expats (7) and non-resident property owners (6), alongside the self-employed (14) and small and medium businesses (12). Digital nomads and foreign residents are named by 4 firms each.
By sector, real estate is named by 24 firms, far ahead of everything else. Startups, investors and holiday rentals appear at 2 firms each, and single firms mention crypto, restaurants, sports management and maritime work. If your business is not tied to property, ask the firm for a client in your own sector before you rely on the general reputation of the city.
English is offered by 36 firms and Spanish by 45. French comes next at 15 firms, German at 6, then Swedish and Dutch at 4 each and Arabic at 3. Italian and Russian are at 2 firms each, and single firms add Polish, Romanian, Finnish, Danish, Farsi and Catalan. For a founder from northern Europe, this is likely the easiest Spanish city in which to find a first call in a language other than English.
Bank account assistance is offered by 11 firms, far more than in most Spanish cities. Residency and visa help is offered by 28 firms. Company formation is offered by 38 firms, accounts by 44, payroll by 32, VAT returns by 28, corporate secretarial by 15 and audit by 2. No firm here offers a virtual office.
Before signing, ask who will be your day-to-day contact, in which language the monthly reports arrive, and whether the fee covers the annual accounts and the filings for a shareholder who lives outside Spain. Practices that serve many foreign owners tend to answer all three from a standard engagement letter.
Read the Spain country guide for the legal sequence. Marbella is close to Estepona and Benalmádena, and the larger provincial city is Malaga. A single free quote request can reach several firms in Marbella.
Yes. English is offered by 36 of the 47 firms, French by 15, German by 6, and Swedish and Dutch by 4 each. The tax authority writes in Spanish, so ask for translated summaries.
Seventeen of the 47 firms are law firms. Many serve foreign property owners and combine conveyancing with company, tax and residency work. Check that the person handling your bookkeeping is the one you were introduced to.
Eleven firms assist with bank accounts, the largest group among the Spanish cities on this site. Ask what the firm actually does: an introduction, preparing the file, or attending the bank.
Real estate is named by 24 firms, but others name startups, crypto, restaurants and maritime work. Ask for a client in your own sector before you commit.
Estepona and Benalmádena are nearby and have their own pages. Malaga lists a larger group of firms, and the Spain guide explains the legal steps.
