About DFK Malta

Rooted in a practice founded in 1990 as Farrugia, Farrugia & Co, this Birkirkara-based group has been part of the DFK International association since 1998. Today it operates as three regulated companies covering audit, accountancy and tax, and corporate services, with a team of about 45 professionals. Most of its work is for businesses established in Malta, from small operators to larger groups, across yachting, real estate, financial services, tourism, manufacturing, family-owned businesses and funds. It also supports overseas investors and individuals who are moving to the island, drawing on the DFK network for cross-border tax questions. Beyond core accounting and compliance, the group provides HR consultancy, recruitment, media advisory and liquidation support, so that a client can obtain most business services from one source. Services

Accountancy covers bookkeeping, management accounts, forecasting and budgeting, while the audit arm performs statutory audits for filing at the Malta Business Registry. Tax work includes personal and company returns, planning, international taxation and VAT registration and returns. Payroll outsourcing includes payslips, FS3, FS5 and FS7 filings and work-permit assistance. The corporate team advises on choosing a vehicle, registers companies and partnerships, files annual returns, supplies a registered office and handles residence programme applications as a registered mandatary.
