About B&T Financials

Since 2013, B&T Financials has worked from Rotterdam as a bookkeeping, tax and legal practice for artists, creatives, freelancers and expatriates living and working in the Netherlands. The founders, Dris and Thomas, set the firm up to serve self-employed people whose activity often crosses Dutch and EU borders, and its tax team focuses on VAT, intra-community listings and income tax for performers and service providers. Newcomers are a clear target: the firm handles the migration-year M-form for people moving into or out of the country and prepares the opening balance sheet, three-year forecast and business plan required for an IND self-employment residence application. A related legal unit, B&T Legal, deals with Dutch immigration matters such as highly skilled migrant permits, investor visas and the Dutch-American and Dutch-Japanese treaty routes. Clients send receipts through a messaging-based bookkeeping system, and the firm itself does not present company incorporation as a service.

Services

The Total Finance package bundles bookkeeping, VAT and ICP returns, the annual income tax return for entrepreneurs and ongoing financial and tax advice for a fixed periodic fee. Tax work also covers migration-year M-form returns and filings for artists with cross-border activity. For residence applications the firm prepares business plans, opening balance sheets and three-year forecasts to IND standards. B&T Legal handles work and residence permits, self-employment and investor visas and treaty-based applications, plus contracts and general terms.
