Accountants for foreign clients in Qatar

Fourteen of the 29 firms Accountanty lists in Qatar say they focus on foreign clients, and this page gathers them. Their profiles name foreign investors most often, then foreign companies and start-ups, along with branches of foreign companies and Indian expatriates. Since Law 1 of 2019, foreign investors may own up to 100% of a company in most sectors, so expect these firms to check your activity against the permitted list before they propose a wholly foreign-owned structure.

The structures they name show the range: QFC companies come first, with nine firms, followed by free zone companies, mainland LLCs, QSTP companies and fully foreign-owned companies with four each, then branches, subsidiaries and representative offices. When you compare them, ask which platform suits your activity, what you must sign in person in Qatar and what can be done by power of attorney, and how the firm will report to you while you are abroad.

The 14 are ten corporate service providers, three accounting firms and one law firm; 12 are small. Ten help with bank accounts and ten with residence and visas. English is offered by 12 and Arabic by five, with Spanish, Polish, Portuguese and Chinese by one each. Twelve are in Doha and two in Lusail. Frequently asked questions

Can a foreigner own 100% of a company in Qatar?

In most sectors, yes. MOCI lists banks, insurance and commercial agencies among the exceptions, and each activity is checked against its permitted list, so ask a firm to confirm your activity first.

Can I run a Qatari company from abroad?

Many owners do, with a local firm keeping the books, filing returns and dealing with the ministries. Some steps, such as bank meetings or permits, may still need a visit, so ask which ones apply to you.

Which languages do these Qatar firms offer?

English comes first, offered by 12 of the 14, then Arabic by five. Spanish, Polish, Portuguese and Chinese are each offered by one firm, so mention your language in a quote request.
