View profile of UAB buhalterės.ltEvery Lithuanian company needs a registered office address, and an owner who does not live in Lithuania rarely has one to offer. A virtual office supplies that address and usually handles the post that arrives there: letters from the tax authority, the register, banks and customers. Some providers add a phone line or the occasional use of a meeting room. An address on its own is not a business presence, and a bank or tax inspector may still ask where the company’s work is actually done, so be ready to explain that.

View profile of Buhalterijos centras, UABAsk whether the address can be used as the registered office in the register, or only as a postal address. Ask how post is handled: scanned on the day it arrives, forwarded abroad, or held for collection, and at what cost. Ask how official letters are flagged, since a missed notice from the tax authority has a deadline attached. Find out the notice period and what happens to the registration if you stop paying, because the company will then need a new address. If you also need accounting, ask whether the same firm provides both.
Accountanty lists 37 firms in Lithuania that offer a virtual office: 22 accounting firms, 13 corporate service providers and two law firms. Twenty-nine are small, seven medium-sized and one part of a large network. Lithuanian and English are each offered by 31, Russian by 22, and Estonian and Latvian by four each. Twenty-one focus on foreign clients, and two name non-resident founders. Crypto (10) and e-commerce (9) are the sectors named most. Twenty-three publish pricing. Thirty are in Vilnius and seven in Kaunas.
Many providers offer an address that can be used as the registered office. Ask for written consent from the address owner, since the register may need it, and confirm the address is not only postal.
Most providers scan letters and send them by e-mail, and some forward originals abroad for a fee. Ask how quickly official letters are flagged, because many carry a deadline.
Not always. Banks may ask where the business is run and who manages it. A virtual office answers the address question but not the question of substance, so prepare to explain both.
