View profile of ASSERTUS LimitedPaphos is the Cyprus city where accountants dominate and almost every firm is small. Of the 35 firms based here, 27 are accounting firms, six are law firms and only two are corporate service providers. Thirty-three are small practices and two are medium; none belongs to a large network. That means the person who sells you the service is often the person who does the work.
Foreign owners are a clear majority of the work, since 24 of the firms name them as a focus, and the people they describe are often individuals rather than groups. Expatriates and retirees appear in the client descriptions, along with freelancers, consultants, e-commerce sellers and software-as-a-service founders. A foreign owner who wants a modest company and a long-term relationship with a local accountant will find that profile here.

View profile of CT AccounTrustReal estate is named by ten firms, well ahead of shipping and funds (four each) and start-ups and technology (three each). That is a smaller and more local range of sectors than in Limassol or Nicosia, and it fits a market built around property owners, small companies and individuals.
Limited companies are named by twelve firms, trusts and branches by eight each, private limited companies by six, and Cyprus companies and holding companies by three each. Local and international clients are named by four firms, expatriates by five in total, and foreign investors by two. The oldest of the thirteen firms that state a founding year dates from 1984, with a median of 2008.
Tax compliance is offered by all 35 firms, company formation by 32, accounting by 31, VAT by 30 and audit by 29, a high share for a town of small practices. Payroll is offered by 25, corporate secretarial services by 24, bank account assistance by 22, residence and visa support by 17 and a virtual office by twelve.
English is offered by 21 firms, Russian by five and Greek by four; Arabic, German, Polish and Dutch are each offered by one. A buyer who prefers German or Dutch should ask early whether the person speaking that language will be the one handling the file.
One firm mentions regulation by the Cyprus Bar Association and several mention ICPAC membership. Services such as trust, nominee and signing work for companies fall under a separate licensing regime run by the securities regulator, so ask a firm that offers them which licence it holds.
Because most firms here are one- or two-partner practices, availability matters. Ask what happens if your accountant is away at a filing deadline, who signs the accounts, and whether the firm keeps your records in a format you can take with you if you move on. A small practice can be an advantage for a straightforward company with one owner, but a company with employees, several shareholders or foreign subsidiaries may need to confirm that the firm has handled that before.
The legal steps are explained in the guide to setting up a company in Cyprus. To compare firms elsewhere, see Larnaca, which has more law firms, or the Nicosia page for a larger accounting group. Send one free quote request to have it reviewed and forwarded.
Twenty-seven of the 35 are accounting firms, six are law firms and two are corporate service providers. Thirty-three are small practices and two are medium.
Several describe expatriates and retirees among their clients, along with freelancers, consultants and e-commerce sellers. About two thirds of the firms name foreign clients as a focus.
English is offered by 21 firms, Russian by five and Greek by four. Arabic, German, Polish and Dutch are each offered by one firm.
Twenty-nine of the 35 offer audit and all 35 offer tax compliance. Ask whether the auditor is independent of the team that keeps your accounts.
