View profile of Scordis, Papapetrou & Co LLCOpening a business bank account in Cyprus takes more than the registration documents. Banks look at who owns and controls the company, where the money comes from, what the company will do and why it is in Cyprus. Bank account assistance is the service that prepares this file and puts it in front of a bank. No firm can promise an account, because the decision is the bank’s.
Ask what the firm actually does: describing your activity, collecting certified documents, arranging calls or meetings, or only making an introduction. Ask which banks it has dealt with recently and how long applications took. If you are rejected, ask whether it can propose a payment institution or another route. Any firm that promises a result should be treated with care.
Accountanty lists 161 firms in Cyprus that offer bank account assistance: 84 accounting firms, 62 corporate services providers and 15 law firms. English is offered by 89, Russian by 31 and Greek by 28, and 120 say they work with foreign clients. Ten publish pricing. They name real estate, shipping and funds most often. Read the Cyprus guide for the order of registrations, see company formation, or compare practices in Limassol and Nicosia.

View profile of LCK Financial Services LtdIt can prepare the application and introduce you, but the bank decides. A firm that guarantees an account is promising something it does not control.
Expect identity documents for owners and directors, the registration documents, a clear description of the business and expected flows, and proof of source of funds. Your firm should give you a checklist.
Not always. Some banks accept remote onboarding, others ask for a meeting. Ask the firm what has worked recently for clients with a profile like yours.
