How the estimate is built

What the figures include

  • Firms' figures are starting prices published by firms listed on Accountanty, read from their websites in October 2026: the range runs from the lower to the upper quartile, with at least 8 firms; "from" means 5 to 7 firms; below 5 the price is on request.
  • Official fees are added up only for the base option named in the breakdown. Other options and fees that apply only in some cases are listed separately.
  • The annual company fee was abolished from 2024 (Law N.25(I)/2024).
  • A company without share capital costs EUR 235 to incorporate online instead of EUR 165.
  • A company secretary is required; a sole member who is also the sole director may act as secretary.
  • Deemed dividend distribution is abolished for profits of the years from 2026.

What the cost of a company in Cyprus is made of

Most of the Cyprus company formation cost is professional work rather than registry fees. The Registrar charges EUR 10 to approve each proposed name, or EUR 20 more for a faster approval, and EUR 165 to incorporate a company with share capital online. Accelerated registration adds EUR 100. Invest Cyprus says registration is generally completed within a few days.

Only lawyers licensed by the Cyprus Bar Association may prepare and sign the memorandum, and their fee for it is not regulated, so ask whether a formation price covers it. Starting prices published by 19 firms run from EUR 1,174 to EUR 1,824 at the quartiles, and 17 of them do not say whether the Registrar’s fees are part of the price.

The law also requires a company secretary and a registered office address. A company secretary is offered from EUR 325 a year by 7 firms, and 8 firms publish registered office prices between EUR 295 and EUR 600. A resident director, which some founders add, starts from EUR 800 a year with 6 firms. Opening a bank account through a firm is priced between EUR 500 and EUR 812 by 8 firms.

Each year the annual return costs EUR 20 and every private company’s financial statements are audited by a statutory auditor, unless the review option for very small companies applies. The calculator below adds these Cypriot items for the services you choose; for the firms, see the Cyprus guide or company formation in Cyprus, or request quotes.

Setup costs in Cyprus: questions and answers

Is there still an annual company fee in Cyprus?

No. The annual company fee was abolished from 2024 onwards by Law N.25(I)/2024, although one Registrar page still shows the old amount. What remains each year is the annual return filing fee of EUR 20, plus the audit and the tax return.

Does every Cyprus company need an audit?

The law requires a statutory audit of every private company's financial statements (Cyprus law). A review may replace the audit when turnover stays within EUR 300,000 and the balance sheet within EUR 500,000 for two consecutive years. Ask firms to quote the audit or review separately from bookkeeping.

Can the director also be the company secretary in Cyprus?

Only when the company has one member who is also its one director. With more members or directors, a separate secretary aged 18 or over is needed, which is why the calculator treats the secretary as a required service.

What tax filings follow the setup in Cyprus?

From tax year 2026 every Cyprus company files a tax return, whatever its income, by 31 January of the second following year. Corporate income tax is 15% from 1 January 2026. Your country of residence may tax the company or the dividends you receive as well, so take advice there before you decide.
