View profile of P&N KsięgowośćOpening a business bank account is often the slowest step for a company owned from abroad. Banks ask who owns the company, where the money comes from and what the business will do, and they may want to meet the directors. Firms offering bank account assistance prepare the documents, introduce you to a bank and sometimes attend the meeting, but no firm can promise that an account will be opened.
Ask what the firm actually does: preparing the documents, translating them, arranging the appointment, or only giving advice. Ask which banks it works with, whether remote opening is possible for your nationality and what happens if the bank refuses. A fee that depends on success should be written down, together with the cost of any translations.
In a profile, check the languages offered and the client groups served, such as foreign investors or entrepreneurs from your country. Accountanty lists 48 firms for this service in Poland: 35 accounting firms, 10 corporate services providers and 3 law firms. English is offered by 36, Russian by 18 and Ukrainian by 13. Industries named include e-commerce, real estate and IT.
Bank accounts follow incorporation, so read the guide to company formation in Poland first, and use the Warsaw page if you want a firm in the capital.

View profile of Business Start GroupIt depends on the bank and on your nationality. Some banks allow remote opening with identity checks by video or a representative, and others require a visit. A firm that has done it for clients like you will know which.
Typically the company's registration documents, proof of who owns it, identification for directors and an explanation of the business and expected transactions. Your firm should give you the exact list for the bank it chooses.
Ask the firm in advance whether it will try another bank and whether its fee is refundable. Refusals are usually linked to the ownership structure or the activity, so clear and complete documents reduce the risk.
