View profile of 1Office Sweden ABThirty-eight of the 92 firms Accountanty lists in Sweden say they focus on foreign clients. This page gathers them for owners abroad who want a practice used to working with a parent company in another country, explaining Swedish filings in English and handling post that arrives in Swedish. Residence rules shape the set-up. Bolagsverket’s page on directors residing abroad states that the managing director of a limited company and half of its board members must reside within the EEA, and that a company whose board all live outside Sweden needs a representative in Sweden who can accept service on its behalf. The most common structures these firms name show who they usually serve: branches, named by 16 of them, ahead of limited companies, sole proprietorships and subsidiaries.
When you compare these firms, ask which countries their current clients are based in and whether they have set up a branch or a subsidiary for someone in your position. Ask who will be your contact for Skatteverket and Bolagsverket, how they collect signatures from directors without a Swedish electronic ID, and which reports you will receive each month. For the registration itself, read the Sweden guide first and then the page on company formation in Sweden.
The 38 are 32 accounting firms, five corporate service providers and one law firm: 19 small, 11 medium-sized and eight in large networks. Thirty-three work in English and 33 in Swedish, and some also offer Finnish, Polish, Estonian, Russian or Arabic. All 38 handle tax compliance, 35 keep accounts and run payroll, and 33 file VAT, while ten offer a virtual office and five help with residence permits. Twenty-nine are in Stockholm and six in Gothenburg, with one each in Solna, Kungsbacka and Lidingö. To reach several at once, send one quote request through Accountanty.
