View profile of İhtisas Mali Müşavirlik A.Ş.Hiring in Turkey, even a single employee, brings monthly payroll work: salaries calculated under Turkish labour and social security rules, withholdings paid to the tax office, contributions paid to the Social Security Institution (SGK), and payslips and personnel records kept for each person. When a company is registered, the registry notifies the tax office and SGK itself, but employees need a separate application. A foreign owner also meets questions a local employer may not: whether a foreign national needs a work permit before starting, how a manager sent from the parent company is paid, and how a salary agreed in a foreign currency is handled.

View profile of Taxation Istanbul (Vergilendirme İstanbul)Ask the firm to run a sample month for the staff you plan to hire, so you see the gross cost, the net pay and every deduction before you sign a contract. Ask who registers new employees with SGK and when, who files the monthly declarations, and how leavers are handled, including severance where it applies. If you plan to hire foreign staff, ask whether the firm handles work permits itself or with a partner. Ask what the fee is per employee and how it changes as the team grows.
Seventy-two firms on Accountanty offer payroll in Turkey: 67 accounting firms, three corporate service providers and two law firms, 63 of them small, six part of large networks and three medium-sized. Seventy-one also keep accounts, and 28 handle residency and visas. English is offered by 46 and German by nine, and 38 have a foreign-client focus. Istanbul has 39, Ankara 22 and Antalya 11. For permits for foreign staff, see residency and visas in Turkey.
Payroll work starts with the first hire: calculations, declarations and records every month. Most small companies hand it to their accounting firm, and 71 of the 72 firms on this page also keep accounts.
Many can, but the details depend on the contract, the work permit and the social security position in both countries. Ask the firm how it has handled seconded staff before and whether it will work with your adviser at home.
