View profile of CERALPAccountanty lists 116 firms in France, and 81 of them state that foreign clients are part of their work. What matters more is the kind of foreign client: a firm that looks after the French property of non-residents works very differently from one that keeps the books of a foreign group’s subsidiary.

Begin with what you are setting up. Branches and subsidiaries are named by many of these firms, along with the SAS, the SARL and the SCI often used to hold property, so ask each one how many structures like yours it handles. Ask who your contact will be, whether that person is an expert-comptable, and which reports and letters you will receive in English or another language you read. French rules let a foreigner create and manage a company without living in France, but running it day to day from inside the country takes a residence permit, so ask which steps need you in France. The France guide explains the legal steps, and company formation in France covers choosing a firm to carry them out.
The 81 are 69 accounting firms, nine law firms and three corporate service providers, 49 of them small, 23 medium-sized and nine part of large networks. French leads among their languages (64), with English close behind (57), then Italian (16), German (eight), and Spanish and Russian (seven each). SMEs are the client group named most often, by 24 firms, followed by non-residents and by foreign companies setting up in France (ten each). Real estate is the sector that stands out, named by 33. Paris holds 45, Lyon 18 and Nice 15. One quote request through Accountanty reaches the firms that match your case.
Many owners do, and 81 of the 116 firms on Accountanty in France say they work with foreign clients. Agree in writing who approves payments and returns, how documents reach the firm, and which steps need you in person.
French at 64 of the 81 and English at 57. Italian is offered by 16, German by eight, and Spanish and Russian by seven each, with a handful of firms working in Chinese, Portuguese or Arabic.
Several do. Real estate is the sector named most often by the 81 firms, and the SCI, a company form often used to hold property, is among the structures they list. Ask whether the firm handles both the company accounts and the owners' French returns.
